I thought I would get a rush of inquiries AFTER holiday season, especially because a lot of couples get engaged around this time and on New Years Eve. But I’m suddenly finding myself with a TON of inquires for 2008.

I’ve been super selective with my process because I only want to photograph amazing couples that have amazing connections and are completely drawn to my approach and style. How else will they be happy if they don’t like my stuff??!??

I just want to reiterate the process for booking me. Its sort of first come first serve, meaning who ever gets their booking fee (retainer) and signed (via electronically now!) contract to me first.

I love meeting face to face with potential clients before hand but also make it super easy for clients to get to know me over the phone, via my websites, and talking to past clients for references. So if you already know you want to book me, don’t wait for our face to face meeting. Its not required!

So get to it!

Also, I’d loooooooove to shoot a wedding in Paris. So if you know anyone pass them my info. I have a passport already!

One more thing, it looks like I’ll be in NYC sometime in the spring, either April or May so, if you are planning a wedding for that time, or just want to have a lifestyle session email me, I may be able to coordinate it with my other obligations.

Yay!

Naturally yours,
Juliet

  1. Juliet Nicole : Hi Rachel, Thanks for visiting the blog. To answer your question, it's not contradictory. I am selective with who I work with because I feel there needs to be a connection between myself and my client and that we share a common vision towards their wedding photography. Although it doesn't happen very often, there are times when I get 2 inquiries for the same date that I'm still open for. I meet with both of them, and if I'm excited to work with either one of them, I let them know that I am open and my policy for how to book me. Sometimes they book that day, sometimes they go home and think about it. If Couple A lags and Couple B signs the paper work and submits the fee before them, then I will be Couple B's photographer or vice versa. In which case I help Couple A find another available photographer that will fit their style and desires, since I already have a good idea of what they are like. Great question! Hope that answers it satisfactory. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. :) - January 28, 2008/6:08 pm.
  2. Rachel : Hey Juliet Nicole, Isn't being super selective and giving first come first serve for a date kind of contradictory? - January 28, 2008/5:47 pm.
