Yesterday was Super Monday put on by PPA. I had the immense pleasure of attending a one day workshop with the one and only Jose Villa. I have admired his work since I started wedding photography and was happy to meet him again yesterday. He was extremely free with is knowledge of the industry and how he got where he is now. He just received a huge honor of having one of his photos featured on the cover the latest issue of PDN.

Jose offers 3 day workshops in Mexico and there will be 2 in November. I want to go very very very badly. I hope I can swing it before it totally fills up. Check it out here: http://www.josevillaworkshops.com/

In the afternoon he took us to 2 locations with 3 models. Today I’m featuring the uber gorgeous Lacie and tomorrow I will show off Shelbie and Gerardo, who played the wedding couple.

Lacie is Jose’s assistant and will be graduating from Brooks in October. She was super sweet during the shoot and really made all our pictures gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what everyone else created.

I brought along my SX-70 and some 600 film and took these two of Lacie before we got started. See, isn’t she so pretty! I love how soft the light was and the beautiful selective focus of the SX-70.
